Elizaz Beauty Store is a brand that resonates with beauty enthusiasts seeking high-quality makeup products that are often hard to find in Nigeria. It caters to a diverse clientele, from makeup artists to beginners, all united by their love for premium products at accessible prices. Evidently, the brand’s commitment to quick delivery adds another layer of convenience, making it an attractive option for busy individuals.
Entering the Nigerian beauty market was like diving into a “Red Ocean” teeming with well-established international and local brands. These competitors had significant marketing budgets, making it crucial for Elizaz Beauty to adopt a strategic and cost-effective approach to stand out.
Challenges
We faced several key challenges:

- Fierce Competition: Established brands with deep pockets dominated the market.
- Low Brand Awareness: Being a new entrant, Elizaz Beauty was relatively unknown to its target audience.
- Budget Constraints: We had to make every Naira count and maximize our return on investment.
- Market Saturation: There was no “Blue Ocean” to explore; we had to innovate to carve our niche.
- Reaching the Target Audience: Connecting with women aged 17-40, makeup artists, and beginners required a multi-faceted approach.
Objectives
To overcome these challenges, we set ambitious yet achievable marketing goals:

- Increase Brand Awareness: We aimed for a 25% increase by the end of the first quarter.
- Grow Social Media Followers: A 20% increase in followers within three months was our target.
- Boost Website Sales: Driving a 15% increase in sales from the newly launched website was crucial.

- Online Engagement: Overall online engagement soared by an astounding 200% over six months, far exceeding the 30% goal. The 22.9K content interactions, a 232.5% increase, highlight the success of our engaging content strategy.
Website Performance
- Website Users: We saw an 80% surge in website users during the first three months.
- Sales Increase: Revenue grew by an impressive 50% within the same period, significantly surpassing the 15% sales growth objective.
- Conversion Rate: The success of our targeted advertising and optimized website experience is evident in the impressive 118.1% increase in link clicks (21.5K) from November 2023 to April 2024. We observed a significant rise in organic reach, accounting for 17.4% of the total 254K reach between November 2023 and April 2024, highlighting the effectiveness of our content strategy in driving traffic.
Brand Awareness
- Brand Recognition: As planned, we achieved a 25% increase in brand awareness by the end of the first quarter.
- Market Positioning: Organically Elizaz grew its brand recognition through engaging content and strategic partnerships, further evidenced by the 226.2K reach on Instagram, solidifying its position as a strong contender in the Nigerian beauty market.
